RE: Explore USA dealership Tx
Txarrowhead, I would suggest that you email Mr Booker the President of Explore USA at bbooker@exploreusa.com I believe he Will see that they contact you.
RE: Explore USA dealership Tx
I want to thank Mr Cantu of Georgetown Explore USA. This morning I received the gift card he promised, and also other consideration to promote customer good will.
RE: Explore USA dealership Tx
Mr. Booker, I want to thank you for addressing this situation. This morning I received a call from Mr. Cantu. He was very apologetic about the whole situation. He assured me that service at the Georgetown Explore USA was getting better, and they would like to keep me as a customer. They had gone through, I believe, three Service Managers in the few months I was attempting to get things repaired. He also said he would get the promised gift card (for the awning repair I did myself) in the mail today. He also is also taking care of another concern that I have that is not even covered under warrantee. I think that is quite admirable of him and Explore USA.
I also would like to tell others on this forum that perhaps things at Georgetown, Texas, Explore USA may be looking up.
Thank You very much
Robert Mitchell
Temple, Texas
RE: Ouch
Yes this was a USED truck. Sounds to me like the dealer really is trying to make things right. Forty miles on a mix of gas and diesel, while not what I would do on purpose, probably won't hurt anything.
How often do you think mistakes are made filling tanks at a service station and a few hundred gallons of gas are mixed with diesel in the tank? Quite often I expect.
RE: Explore USA dealership Tx
They are jerks. Once they got my money (in Georgetown) that was it. Their service really is worse than terrible. They would NOT return phone calls, even the general manager. During prep they ripped my carpet but finally got that fixed. They tried to balk at repairing all three vent covers that were broken at delivery. (did repair them though) During this repair they replaced the front four feet of my rubber roof for some reason. There was nothing wrong with it when I took it in, so I don't know how they ripped it or just what happened. They wouldn't even talk about it. The shower enclosure was installed upside down causing a BIG water leak and it took them several tries to figure that out. Then left metal drill filings sticking out from the enclosure in the inside They were unable to repair my awning and I just did it myself and the the general manager, Paul Cantu, told me over the phone, and twice in person that he would reimburse me for doing the work myself by sending me a gift certificate for fifty dollars to Texas Roadhouse Steak House. Well he lied again because that was in Julyad he never sent it.
This is on a 2007 Land Roamer 31' 5th wheel I bought in April.
I cannot recommend them and will never buy from them again.
The 04 Wildcat trailer I traded in was in MUCH better condition than this NEW (???) 5th wh.
